i am a self taught photographer who began over fourteen years ago working in a portrait studio as a teenager. i worked for a Lifetouch studio for seven years where i honed my people skills and posing. I shot my first wedding at only eighteen and fell head over heels for the spark of excitement and love that is shared. I married a sweetheart and my bestfriend Patrick in 1997. My husband and i were blessed with twins in 1998, Libby & Jacob. I was bound & determined to finish my bachelors degree at Ohio Dominican University in Fine Art in 2002 with my husband, (him in business) while seven months pregnant with our third child, Luke. With the graduation of school and the help of family and investors i opened a studio in German Village in 2003. It was a gorgeous place and was tucked in a red brick building on High Street. It was only three years before the tons of overhead and finding myself spread too thin, got to be overwhelming. Without the abundance of marketing, technology & facebook :) the studio was not the success i had hoped for. Although it was a difficult decision, the economy had suffered a blow and i decided to pack up and once again work from home where i could be with my children on a full time basis. I gave birth to our fourth child Thomas in 2006 just before closing. Now i enjoy working from home where i can stop to read stories and make peanutbutter & jelly sandwiches. I am both trained at lighting in studio photography and natural light photography. I love what i do and if i could pay my bills with smiles, i wouldn't charge a penny. One day when my babies are grown i hope to work for a magazine or newspaper.
